About the Classes:
Currently, all the classes are being run as mixed ability sessions.
These classes are designed for those new to Pilates, as well as those with prior experience. They are equally suitable for those that want to build strength and control, as those with aches or pains. Each class offers different difficulty levels, allowing you to set your own comfortable and safe exercise level, with verbal feedback and adjustments throughout the class.
Each class involves exercises aimed to work on different parts of your body and includes a gentle dynamic warm up and stretches to cool down.
Maximum 14 attendees in-person.
Finding Your Class:
Classes are run in-person at QE Park Centre in Guildford.
Classes are held in the 1st floor main hall (Friday mornings – from the main entrance, head straight up the stairs and the hall is on the right) and the ground floor hall (Tuesday evenings – next to the cafe) of the QE Park Centre.
Railton Road
Guildford
GU2 9LX
Parking – free parking on site; there are specific allocated spaces for the centre but plenty of extra free parking surrounding the centre.
What to Bring:
Please bring your own mat (a thick one is generally more comfortable but anything is good) and any equipment you may want to use during the session (eg. ball / resistance band / weights) – no equipment is required but a resistance band or even a couple of bottles of water to use as weights, are likely to come in handy! I also recommend that you bring a couple of cushions and some water and wear comfortable clothing. During colder weather, as we are currently keeping windows and doors open, you may prefer to wear an extra layer. Please let me know if you need to borrow a mat for your taster sessions, so I can make sure I have a spare with me.
You’ll need to have completed a health questionnaire and consent form, before attending the class. This can be completed online here, or you can complete a paper version on the day of your first class.
Please try and arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of your first class, to ensure we can go through (and complete as necessary) any paperwork and discuss how to best support you in the class.
Forms
All new attendees will need to complete a health questionnaire and consent form; if you are concerned that your health may impact your ability to join a class or you may physically struggle with getting on/off the floor or into other positions, please contact me before attending.
You can complete the form on the day (paper forms available on the day), in advance online, or fill out a pdf form and bring it with you on the night / email it to me.
